Notlar Cover (panakĕp) made of the stalks of the palm leaf (Bali: uyungpugpug) of brownish colour. The manuscript is kept in a long bag of green cotton (Bali: pusi-pusi) and held together by cotton string drawn through the central hole and fastened with a piece of "kepeng" money. — The characters are upright, with a regular space between letters and lines. — palm leaf — The text contains Hindu theology and mythology, about the origin of man and Hindu-Bali cosmology. It is stated that man originates from the god Brahma who materialized in the world; that a human being is formed from water, fire, and wind.
