Fiziksel açıklama
Carpet with all-over small-scale Herati pattern. WARP: White cotton; Z4S; depressed; 28 threads to the inch (108 per dm). WEFT: Cotton - Sometimes white, sometimes blue; Z spun, unplied; 2 shoots after each row of knots; 23 knots to the inch (80 per dm). PILE: Wool; 9 colours: red, orange, yellow, green, dark blue, light blue, pink, black and white; asymmetrical knot, open to the left and tied around 2 warp threads; 322 knots to the sq. inch (4320 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: Both sides have one cord oversewn with red wool. END FINISH: Both ends are missing. DESIGN: Field: dark blue ground with small-scale Herati pattern in bands of alternately three and four red and pink diamonds enclosing a red and pink flower, and linked horizontally by two red and one blue flower. Between the diagonal rows of diamonds are pairs of blue and red leaves enclosing a yellow or white flower. Inner border: Red ground with a blue flower on a short yellow stem that terminates in two pink flowers alternating with a stylised sprig with yellow flowers. Outer border: A light blue ground with a floral meander on a black stem. There are four circular indentations along the lower outer border.
