Fiziksel açıklama Fine plain weave cotton embroidered with cotton in straight stitches and pulled thread work; whitework. One complete width, selvedge-to-selvedge, with a narrow section added. The three non-selvedge edges have been rolled and secured. The central panel [77.5 x 77.5 cm] is filled with a diagonal grid of small pulled thread lozenges, each containing a pulled thread + motif. This panel is then surrounded by a series of patterns in bands: a] a small guilloche pattern flanked either side by S-motifs b] two rows of pulled thread zigzags [c] as [a] [d] one row of pulled thread zigzags with + motif emphasizing the angle [e] as [a] [f] wide band of two diagonal patterned stripes [one pulled into rosette forms]; repeated. [g] as [a] [h] broad band of connected patterned lozenges formed of repeating + motifs. [i] as [a] [j] as [f] [k] as [a] [l] as [d] but on a larger scale [m] as [a] Cotton thread: Z-spun Embroidery Thread: white cotton, 2Z similar to whitework undershirt, Drawer 110/470 inv. 823-1876.
