یادداشت‌ها The form of this vase resembles a European jardinière, an ornamental plant or flower stand. It was made in Fez, an important centre for Moroccan pottery, where professional male potters created decorative ware for urban consumers. The vase was acquired by George Maw, founder of Maw & Co., a British manufacturer of ceramic tiles. Maw initially donated it to the Museum of Practical Geology, Jermyn Street, London but in 1901 most of the Museum’s ceramic holdings were transferred to the South Kensington Museum (later V&A), including this item.

Fiziksel açıklama Earthenware urn with fixed ring handles either side of the main body. Polychrome decoration on a white ground, with blobs of unfired red pigment applied over the glaze.
