ملاحظات	The collection of traditional jewellery at the V&A is one of the finest in the world. Because it was mainly acquired in the 19th century, it is often possible to date unmarked pieces to an earlier period than would otherwise be possible. This little pendant was described as modern Turkish work when it was acquired in 1867. It was bought by Henry Cole, the director of the South Kensington Museum, as the V&A was then known, at the International Exhibition in Paris in 1867. He had just bought a major collection of Italian peasant jewellery at the same exhibition, and chose a number of other pieces, including this pendant, for comparison. It cost two shillings and ten pence.

Fiziksel açıklama	Small triangular silver-gilt pendant, decorated with applied filigree, with a turquoise paste set in a closed mount in the centre, and two loops attached to the top edge for suspension. There are five loops attached to the lower edges, from which hang comma-shaped pendants cut from sheet metal.
