یادداشت‌ها	This pin was part of a large bequest of Oriental Silver Ornaments received by the Museum in 1904. It was described as a modern Egyptian hair pin. It may have been acquired in Egypt, but hair pins like this were not worn with any traditional costume in Egypt at that time. It is more likely that it was put together for western visitors. It may have been made in the Yemen, as the filigree disc which forms the head rests on a Yemeni tut bead, and was probably a pendant in a Yemeni necklace itself.

Fiziksel açıklama	Long silver pin with a flat filigree head. The head is shaped like a crescent with a triangle protruding between the horns which is attached to the top of the pin. It is made of sheet silver with a filigree pattern applied to the front, with an empty setting for a stone in the centre. There are five loops attached to the top of the crescent, from each of which hangs an S-shaped link with a flat open filigree pendant. The head rests on a bead made from pyramids of granules.
