یادداشت‌ها	Choker necklaces, made from numerous identical elements sewn onto cloth or strung together on cord, as here, were worn as part of the traditional costume in many places of Islamic heritage, from Algeria to the south Caucasus. They often have pendants hanging from their lower edge, and the details of the main elements and these pendants can identify where they come from. This necklace was described as Modern Egyptian when it was acquired by the Museum in 1869. The local name was given as Ekd , which is a probably a variant of the Palestinian name for necklaces of this type, Aqd . They were worn across the forehead, as well as round the neck.

Fiziksel açıklama	Choker necklace consisting of 11 hollow silver-gilt rectangular beads alternating with pairs of open filigree beads with a triangular terminal bead at each end. Each of the rectangular beads is decorated on the front with a vertical design of two applied coil rings either side of a granulated disc, with a border of twisted wire and plain discs. There are two holes on each vertical side to hold the cord of the necklace. There is a loop attached to the lower bead in each pair of filigree beads, and to the lower edge of each rectangular bead. A short pendant, of an open filigree rosette in a ring, hangs from each loop. The central rectangular bead is slightly wider than the others.
