Fiziksel açıklama
WARP: Cream wool; Z2S; 17 threads to the inch (70 to the dm). WEFT: cream wool; Z spun with possibly two parallel threads or a light S twist which has relaxed; 2 shoots after each row of knots with 19 knots to the inch (75 per dm). PILE: wool; 7 colours: red, yellow, green, dark blue, purple, black, cream; symmetrical knot tied around 2 warp threads; 162 knots to the sq. inch (2625 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: on both sides are 2 cords overcast with light purple wool with attached braid of red/light purple wool down both sides and along the lower edge. On the left-hand side the braid extends upwards 33.5 cms; multi-coloured tassels are attached at two places and are 40 cms max long. On the right-hand side there are two tassels - the shorter one now pinned on; the longer is a max of 40 cms. long. END FINISH: lower has 2.5 cms. of plain weave with light purple weft, turned and stitched in place, with attached braid from which hang 47 multi-coloured woollen tassels loosely knotted. The upper has 2.5 cms. plain weave with light purple weft turned and stitched. Both corners have a red and light purple cord 49 cms. long ending in a tassel. DESIGN: field: a cream ground with 12 vertical lines largely in purple and they rest on a saw-toothed diagonal lattice. The lower left/top right lines are in purple; the others are in red, green and dark blue. Within the lattice the line bears a cross-shaped motif within which, along the line, is a row of three figures - the central octagon is yellow and the outer are in pairs of green or dark blue, all outlined in red. The main border (sides and lower edge only) has a green ground with red, stepped lozenges alternating along the sides with opposing pairs of hooked motifs, each in cream and yuellow, and alternating along the lower edge with opposing arrowheads in either cream or yellow. Inner and outer borders are along the sides and lower edge only and have a reciprocal "running dog" design in cream and purple. The top border extends along the top of the five-sided field and the side borders and is composed of narrow horizontal lozenges in contrasting colours.
