Fiziksel açıklama bag face WARP: cream wool; Z2S; at the top (as woven) 27 threads to the inch )107 per dm) and at the bottom 24 threads to the inch (100 per dm counted at 20 per 2 cms). WEFT: brown wool; Z2S; 1 shoot after each row of knots; 27 knots to the inch (108 per dm counted at 54 knots per 5 cms). PILE: wool; 8 colours: red, yellow, dark green, dark blue, blue, dark pink, dark brown, white; asymmetrical knot, open to the right and tied around two threads; 351 knots to the square inch (average) (5616 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: both sides are cut. Catalogue date: 1.2.95 END FINISH: lower: cut. Upper 2 cms. plain weave; a narrow band with dark blue weft followed by cream weft turned and stitched in place. DESIGN: field: four bands each of five rectangles, outlined alternately in red and dark pink, quartered in red and dark blue or in dark pink and dark green, each quarter containing a flower head; in the centre of each rectangle is a rec cross with a hooked outline in white. The rectanges are separated vertically and horixzontally by narrow bands of white diamonds alternating with dark blue and dark green Xs. Main border: blocks of red, dark pink or white with small geometric motifs are separated by dark blue " ladders". Inner and outer border: a repeat on the four inner sides and the outer left and outer upper sides of the diamond pattern from the field bands. The outer border on the right and bottom and outermost on the left has a red ground with a dark blue scroll. Top border has a red ground with dark blue double hooks and white florets. The bottom border has a red ground with chequered lozenges in white and dark brown which lie between two zigzag lines of white. There is evidence of a lower patterned border.
