Fiziksel açıklama
Warp: white wool; Z3S; 16 threads per inch (60 per dm). Weft: wool; Z2S; 10 colours - dark red, red, light red, yellow, dark green, dark blue, blue, pink, dark brown, white; 94 threads per inch (360 per dm). Side finish: left-hand side is cut. Right-hand side has returned weft. End finish: lower end is cut. Upper end has one line of decorative stitching in red and yellow followed by 11cm of warp fringe which seems to have been plaited into a hanging fringe. Design: Field: red ground with one quarter of a central medallion with white ground and pendant. The medallion is outlined in green, blue, light red and contains multi-coloured blossoms, leaves and florets. There is a blue and red flower in the pendant. Main field: the Herati sickle leaves are predominantly blue, outlined with dark blue and also with dark red, white, dark blue, pink and green. Between pairs of leaves are bands of flowers, the bands are alternatively pink and dark blue. The outer sickle leaves frame a light red diamond outlined in green with a central blossom. Main border: yellow ground with floral meander of dark brown stems and pink flowers. Inner and outer borders: dark blue ground with stylised flowers and leaves on a central stem. Alternating red and light red.
