Notlar
The colourful character of Italian maiolica (tin-glazed earthenware) may have inspired the introduction of a more colourful palette to the traditional blue and white of early Iznik wares. The new colours included turquoise, then black, sage green and a manganese purple, included in the decoration of this dish.
