Fiziksel açıklama Wool carpet. With a red ground on which are five palmettes in a vertical row, the centre one is mauve and the two above and below are dark blue. On either side of the palmettes are stylised leaves in mauve or white in alternating rows. The stems of the leaves and palmettes are dark blue and with each leaf is a white flower, probably a tulip. There are two borders around the central field of equal size. The ground of the inner border is white and the ground of the outer border is blue. The design on the inner border consists of alternating red, mauve and purplish-brown stylised floral stems, between which are red squares at regular intervals. The outer border has a red geometric pattern. The warp is S-plied, Z-spun wool and in some parts natural brown and white mix together and the rest is white. The weft consists of two shoots of Z-spun brown wool. Turkish knots with 6.5 horizontally to the inch and eight vertically to the inch, and 52 to the square inch. The selvage consists of one cord beyond the edge over sewn with several strands of Z-spun red wool. The web is on cotton warp threads and the top bound with brown wool. The pile is in coloured wools of white, red, blue, yellow and mauve.
