Malzemeler ve teknikler Wool Wool
Fiziksel açıklama Caucasian carpet, Soumak. WARP: white wool; Z2S; 16 threads per inch (60 per dm) WEFT: Foundation: brown wool;, z-spun, unplied; 11 threads per inch (40 per dm). Pattern: wool; Z2S, 9 colours: red, dark yellow, yellow, dark green, green, blue, purple, dark brown, white; soumak technique with pattern weft moving over 4 warp threads and back under 2. SIDE FINISH: returned wefts. END FINISH: end (a) 18 cms of fringe with 3 rows of off-set knots; end (b) 9 cms of fringe with 4 rows of off-set knots. DESIGN: Field: red ground with yellow and blue angular palmettes containing a flowering sprig within bold geometric forms. The entire ground is scattered with stylised floral and geometric forms. Main border: squares containing octagons surrounding hooked diamonds. Along the side at one corner are two octagons with a rosette. Inner border: blue ground with rosettes. Outer border: white ground with star-like flowers. Outermost border: reciprocal red/brown running dog pattern.
