Fiziksel açıklama Large square tile of fritware, painted with yellow lustre. From a frieze with a slightly projecting upper border decorated with a repeat pattern of palmettes and intersecting split palmettes. The lower part of the tile is covered with moulded decoration, and is cut into three triangular sections by a wide band in the form of a lobed chevron. The top border of this band is coloured turquoise and the lower border coloured cobalt. Within the band runs an inscription, probably from the Qur'an, moulded and painted in cobalt blue, against a lustre ground with small leaf motifs left in reserve. The lower triangular section of the tile, under the inverted-V, is decorated with a pattern similar to the projecting upper border, in lustre with the moulded elements left in reserve. In the spandrels of the chevron, the decoration is the same but the colour scheme reversed, so that the background is left in reserve and the moulded elements are painted in lustre.
