Malzemeler ve teknikler
Wool knotted pile on wool foundation, symmetric knot. Warp: white and brown (natural), often plied together; wool; Z2S; depressed; 16 threads per inch (60 per dm). Weft: brown; wool; Z2S; 2 shoots after each row of knots; 8-9 rows of knots per inch (38 per dm). Pile: wool; 10 colours: red (2 similar shades); yellow, green, light green, dark blue, blue, purple-brown, dark brown; symmetrical knot open to left and tied around 2 warp threads. Side finish: 1 cord oversewn with red wool. End finish: lower - largely missing, 1.5 in. remaining of plain weave with red weft and evidence in lower right-hand corner of returned warp; upper - 2 in. plain weave with red weft, in middle of which is 1 row of weft twining in dark brown and white with woven edge finish of 1cm depth. Fiziksel açıklama
Carpet Design: Field: red ground of 9.5 bands of 3 blossoms/palmettes on a green lattice edged in dark blue; with 10 bands of 4 smaller white blossoms separating major bands. In centre red and dark blue blossom alternating with yellow/blue/purple-brown edged in dark blue. Main border: brown ground with rosettes in all colours on a red double meander (very angular on sides) filled in with 2 small diamonds (mostly on the sides) not on bottom and only one diamond on upper border. Guard stripes: Inner and outer are identical - white ground with brown floral meanders with red flowers and yellow/blue leaves.
