Örnek Metin	V. 1 contains an introductory linguistic essay on the history of the Irish language and a comparison of Old Irish and Gaelic with various Semitic languages, and some antecedent words in Greek and Sanskrit; following this is a dictionary comparing Semitic words in Arabic, Chaldean, Phoenician, Hebrew, and Syriac, with similar words in Gaelic. Interleaved in the manuscript pages is the first volume of William Shaw's Galic and English Dictionary (London, 1780), the Gaelic to English portion, which is used as the guide for words entered in the manuscript dictionary -- V. 2 chiefly blank, with a few notes on similar words in the Semitic languages and is interleaved with the English to Gaelic portion of Shaw's dictionary.
