Notes In this file: a variety of documents and notes in Hebrew, English and Arabic that shed light on Christian denominations, and in particular on the Evangelical Episcopal Church (Anglican) and other denominations in Jerusalem and the Middle East. Includes summaries of meetings with Bishop Najib Kubin at his residence in East Jerusalem and with priests such as Rafiq Farah, Elia Khoury and Fayeq Haddad, as well as retired lawyer Aziz Shehadeh and Ahron Laish. These meetings dealt with topics related to the Evangelical Episcopal Church. Among the documents are notes in Ahron Laish's handwriting relating to a manual issued on the occasion of the centenary of the consecration of the first Anglican bishop, Michael Salomon Alexander, on November 7, 1841, in Jerusalem. The file also contains a booklet in English entitled “Christian News From Israel” for the year 1965, in addition to documents on the laws of absentee property and the liberation of the property of the Evangelical Episcopal Church in 1967. The file also includes a photocopy of an English-language document related to the Orthodox Patriarchate Law of 1928, along with a document in Hebrew entitled “The Synod of the Arab Evangelical Episcopal Community in Jordan, Lebanon and Syria” in 1965. 1958 includes a translated version into Arabic. In addition, the file contains documents transferred from the Official Gazette in 1947 related to religious sects, including the Non-Muslim Religious Sects Councils Law of 1958, with Arabic translations of some texts and their application in the West Bank. It also includes documents related to the proposal to establish an advisory committee on behalf of the Greek Orthodox community between the years 1964-1965. The file also includes documents in English, including the Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem Law of 1958 (חוק הפטריארכיה האורתודוכסית In addition to pages and clippings including notes in Ahron Laish's handwriting as well, the file contains a document in English about the Anglican community in Jerusalem and the Middle East, including the Basic Law of the Evangelical Episcopal Diocese in Jordan, Lebanon and Syria of 1958. In addition to a printed copy of documents related to the local law of Arab Episcopal Evangelicalism, 1969
