Manuscript codex. Title from colophon (f. 144a). Layout: 13 long lines in cloudbands; border-ruled. Script: Written in naskh in black ink; pointed, vocalized. Decoration: Textblock border-ruled in gold and double blue with the text on cloudbands throughout. Headpiece in blue and gold on the first opening with textblock frame of blue line designs (f. 1v). Page-opening frame of colored (blue and red) and gold leaves on first and last opening (f. 1v-2r, 241v-242r). Gold foliate page-opening frame on three sides throughout; the frame has been partially or fully trimmed on pages near the beginning. Rubrications in blue and red. Shelfmark: MS Or 209. Origin: Copy completed in 24 Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1113 AH (f. 142r). Also available as a digital facsimile. Gift of David Eugene Smith, 1931-1934. Brown-black leather with gold-painted frame. Brown leather doublure with green painted frame of double rules.
