From Tabriz. From a manuscript of the Shahnama of Firdawsi known as the "Demotte" Shahnama. Includes a Miniature of Bahrām Gūr in a peasent's house from the Shāhnāmah. Chapter heading in copper ink, rule-borders in copper. Poems divided in 6 columns. Written on both sides. 31 lines per page, Elegant Naskh hand, vocalised, black ink. Title supplied by cataloguer. Incipit: بشد شاه بهرام و دستش بشست / کزان اژدها برد تا تن درست ... Manuscript. Written on a yellow paper, coloured miniature painting, rule borders in blue and copper, decorated chapter heading panel, ink smudging.
