Text 2 (Sefer ha-ʻArukh) is a fragment from Samuel Arkevolty's edition of the ʻArukh, copied from the printed edition, Venice, 1553. Örnek Metin	A compilation of dictionary texts including a Hebrew-Persian dictionary; a fragment from Samuel Arkevolty's edition of the ʻArukh; Short translations in Hebrew of selected words; and renderings in Persian of Talmudic words. Text 1 (Sefer ha-Melitsah) is a Hebrew-Persian dictionary. The bulk of the manuscript to leaf 192 is written in one hand, the remainder is in several hands. The colophon has two parts, the first mentioned Menaḥem ben Yehoshuʻa, dated to 1075. The second, mentioned Shemuel ben Mosheh, dated to 1548. The text ascribed by W. Bacher, on the basis of one Ms., to Shelomoh ben Shemuel (Hebräisch- Persischer Wörterbuch aus dem vierzehnten Jahrhundert, Budapest, 1900, p. 6-9).
