Notlar Collective volume of texts on astrology. (1) ff. 1a-15a. Expertly written Thuluth-like script. Possibly acephalous collection of divinatory tables or gadawil. On f. 1a is a table of Ikhtiyarat, of actions to be undertaken (y-axis) set against the twelve signs of the Zodiac. Most of the other tables are concerned with Sahm al-Hawadith. (2) f. 15b. Drawing of the spheres of the planets. In the centre is Ab (water) then Kura-yi Khak (earth), Bad (wind), Nar (fire) [Anasor-e Arba'e] and the names of planets. Surrounded by names of symbols of months. (3) f. 16a. Notes of astrological nature, in several different hands, including predictions for the year of the cow, comparison of influence on Persians and Arabs, predictions of time of start of New year (in Arabic and Persian) (4) ff. 16b. Incomplete copy of Si Fasl (Thirty Chapters), the astronomical compendium on the compilation of almanacks, by Khwaja Nasir al-Din al-Tusi (d. 672/1274). Several gadawil and dawa'ir (tables and circles) as illustrations to the text. Abrupt end on f. 33b at Chapter 18. Earth at centre of spheres of planets. f.22b circle of horoscope signs surrounded by smaller circles containing the name of the month and character trait associated with that sign. f.23a circle diagrams relating months to specific letters f.24a discussion and diagrams of the orbit of the sun by various planets f.25a diagrams of equator and tropics and their relative positions throughout the year f.26b how to calculate the date of New Year f.28b conjunction of the planets f.29a diagrams on interpreting conjunction of stars f.30b names of each day of the month (5) ff. 34a-35b. The final part only of an astrological and divinatory treatise, left incomplete at Chapter 18. (6) ff. 36b-63b. Incomplete and lacunous astronomical treatise, divided into an introduction, two chapters (Maqala) and an epilogue, with several illustrations including map of solar system with earth at centre (f.40a), mapping of the starts, names of maps, orbit of moon and Mercury around the earth (f.48a), orbit of sun (f.48a), (f. 58 damaged with loss of text, abrupt end on f. 63b, several illustrations missing). (7) ff. 64b-104b. Incomplete and lacunous copy (end missing, several illustrations not added) of Sharh-i Bist Bab, the commentary by Mullah Muzaffar Janabadi (f. 64b) on a treatise on the making of almanacks written by Nizam al-Din Abdul-Ali Ibn Muhammad In Hussain Birjandi.
