Diwan of the Sheikh Sharaf al-Din Abi-Hafs Umar, also known as Ibn al-Fariz (inscription on f.1), a modern copy apparently copied by William Tweedie, completed on Thursday 23rd Dhu I-Qa'da 1890, in Arabic. Headings in red (asking God to have mercy on the man [third person sg] who is to speak), bound in red leather. Diwan has been written on only one side of the folio, like others copied by Tweedie, probably to put a commentary on the other side; otherwise, this feature is very unusual. Incipit: سايق الاظعان يطوي البيه طي منعماعرج علي الشبان طي Explicit: يا ربنا ارني انظر اليک بها عندالقدوم وعاملني باکرام Final rubric: وقد طالعت بعد ذلک في مجموع رقائق Colophon: تمت كتابة دیوان ابن الفارض بعون الله الملك الوهاب، يوم الخميس الثالث والعشرين من شهر ذي القعدة من شهور سنة السابعة بعد الثلاثمائة والألف الهجرية |
