Notlar	None \| قال مصنّفه: وفرغ من ارتجاله واضعه السمول بن يحيى بن عبّاس المغربي في سنة 561 (انتهى: فوق السطر). هكذا وجدت في نسخة الأصل. تمّ الكتاب والحمد لله وحده. وفرغ من كتابته وتصوير أشكاله الفقير إلى الله تعالى ومغفرته محمّد بن يوسف بن عبد القادر بن محمّد الدمياطي الحنفي الموقّت، بمدرسة السلطان الملك الأشرف برسباي بالجزيرتين(؟)يوم الأربعاء لست ليال خلون من شهر ربيع الأوّل بالحساب من شهور عام ثمان وثمانين وتسعمائة هجرية.Its author has stated: “Its composer, al-Samawʾal ibn Yaḥyā ibn ʿAbbās al-Maghribī, completed its recitation in the year 561” (end). I found it [written] thus in a manuscript of the original. The book is completed, praise be to God alone. He who is in need of God Almighty and His forgiveness, Muḥammad ibn Yūsuf ibn ʿAbd al-Qādir ibn Muḥammad al-Dimyāṭī, a Ḥanafī and a timekeeper [Muwaqqit], completed the copying and drawing of its diagrams at the Madrasa of the Sultan al-Malik al-Ashraf Barsbāy in the Jazīratān [the two Islands?] on the Wednesday on which six days of the month of Rabīʿ I had elapsed according to calculation of the months of the year 988 AH [most likely Wednesday, 20 April 1580 though there is a one day discrepancy since by calculation the first Wednesday of Rabīʿ I in 988 would have been on the 5th].
