The colophon gives a full statement of the date and place of copying, and the scribe. Mahmud b. Muhammad al-Tustari also copied a Nizami in 849/1446; Schmitz and Desai also note the work of another calligrapher based in Abarquh.The paintings are in an offshoot of the Shiraz style of the period.There are 5-6 'arz-didas on the flyleaf, the third of which is dated 1193/1779.The manuscript is paginated not foliated: there are 1074 pages.Initial investigation by Afsaneh Firouz in February 2009, with the images..
