Notlar Responsum, followed by a letter, in the hand of the Gaʾon Solomon b. Judah, who signs his full name, שלמה הצ׳ ראש הישיבה ברבי יהודה נ׳׳נ. The date '11 Ṭevet' is given before the signature, but no year is included. It is datable to relatively early in his career, c. 1029 CE. The responsum (which is only partially preserved) is in Hebrew and the letter that follows after his signature is in Judaeo-Arabic. The responsum concerns the currency to be used for the payment of a virgin bride and whether a man should be fined for having his marriage contract written on the intermediate days of a festival. The letter continues in Mos.Ia.20.2
