Notlar	Recto: Text is laid out in paragraphs. The extant portion begins اما بعد, the initial blessings having been lost. The first paragraph heaps fulsome praise on the addressee, who is said to have been endowned by God with sound opinion (حسن الراى). In the second paragraph the writer states that he has sent many letters to the addressee but has so far not received any reply.
