Notlar	Letter from Nissim b. Isaac Ibn al-Sahl to Abraham b. Daʾūd. The arrival of the letter is dated to ‘the first of Nisan, which is Rabīʿ al-Awwal, in the year 89’. This is interpreted by Gil (1997, ii 661) as (3)89 of the Hijra (= 999 CE), and by Goitein (1988, 584) as (47)89 of the Creation (= 1029 CE).
