The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God for the blessing of Islam, thanks be to God for the blessing of hearing, sight, and speech, and I ask God for forgiveness for all sins (...) As for what follows, advice is part of faith and verification of it is a sign of certainty, and the greatest ignorance of people is that of ignorance of oneself.
The end of the manuscript: If you, O this one, adhere to it, then you will remain forever (...) And in the hadith of the remembrancers, they are the people whose companions will not be miserable, and by God, how good is the saying of the one who said, calling for their help (...) Its author said (...) Abu Al-Abbas Ahmed bin Ahmed bin Muhammad bin Issa Al-Barnsi, from the people of the city of Fez, guarded by God Almighty, known as Zarrouk (...) The blessed will has been fulfilled, which is what is called sufficient advice for whom God has bestowed upon him with good health, at the Riyafah porch of...
