The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and the end is for the righteous, and prayers and peace be upon our master Muhammad, the faithful Prophet, and upon his family and all his companions. Then, the poor servant of God Almighty says, Ahmad bin Muhammad al-Buyyaqubi, known as al-Mallawi (...) and I named him Tuhfat al-Qudah with some issues of shepherds and arranged them into seven chapters and a comprehensive.
End of the manuscript: If he is among those who do not receive the Hisbah reward for that (...) Praise be to God without end (...) It ends with praise to God and His good help, and prayers and peace be upon our master Muhammad, his Prophet and servant, and upon his family, companions, and soldiers. His restriction was completed on the eve of Thursday, the fifteenth of Rabi’ al-Thani, in the year two hundred and fifty-three, and our last supplication is: Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds.
