Some of the correspondence also concerns the purchase of guns to be mounted on these boats. The primary correspondents in the file are officials of the Political Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. and Consulate in Muscat, the Political Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. in Bushire, the External Affairs Department of the Government of India, the Government of Pakistan (from August 1947 onwards), Sa‘īd bin Taymūr Āl Bū Sa‘īd, and his secretary, Ali Muhammad al-Jamali. Some of the correspondence sent to the Political Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. and Consulate in Muscat by al-Jamali is in Arabic (accompanied by English translations).
