Notlar This file contains correspondence related to the British Government's relationship with Ibn Sa'ud [‘Abd al-‘Azīz bin ‘Abd al-Raḥmān bin Fayṣal Āl Sa‘ūd]. Specifically, the correspondence in the file relates to the confrontation between the forces of the Ikhwan and Ibn Sa'ud that took place at the Battle of Sabilla in March 1929, the closure of the road between Kuwait and Zubair and other issues related to tribal movements and disturbances in and around the Iraq-Kuwait border. The majority of the correspondence in the file is internal correspondence between British officials but letters exchanged between the Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. in Kuwait, Major James Carmichael More and the Ruler of Kuwait, Shaikh Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah (in Arabic with English translations) also appear throughout the file. In addition to correspondence, the file also contains a translation of an article that appeared in the Baghdad newspaper, Ash-Sha'b on 19 April 1929. The article contains details of the Battle of Sabilla and its immediate aftermath.
