The file contains a number of petitions (in Arabic with English translations) sent to the Government of Bahrain and Shaikh Ḥamad bin ‘Īsá Āl Khalīfah by these groups of Bahrainis requesting assistance (ff 54, 81, 82, 118 and 126). The correspondence between British officials also discusses possible punitive measures against Persians (ff 144-149) resident in Bahrain and broader issues regarding Bahraini nationality (ff 174-177).
