Notlar	This file contains copies of the minutes of Bahrain's Commercial Advisory Committee. The Committee was a body composed of its president, Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. Major Tom Hickinbotham, a number of prominent local merchants based in Bahrain and G W R Smith, Director of Customs. The Committee is occasionally referred to in the file as the Merchants' Advisory Committee. The file also contains copies of the minutes in Arabic for a number of the meetings.
