A petition in Arabic to the Bacha [‘Alī Pāshā al-Kahyah, Governor of Baghdad] from inhabitants of Bussora [Basra]. The petition complains of the conduct of Samuel Manesty, Resident in Bussora, in particular regarding the affair of an Egyptian woman living with a British sailor.
