It contains 35 named individuals (in Arabic and English) of the Āl Thānī (Ma‘āḍīd) family of Doha, some with birth and death dates, as well as brief biographical information. The is also a 'Chronological list of Shaikhs of Dōhah belonging to this family' with the periods of their reign, including: Thāni-bin-Muhammad [Thānī bin Muḥammad], Muhammad-bin-Thāni [Muḥammad bin Thānī], and Jāsim-bin-Muhammad [Jāsim bin Muḥammad]. Future rulers of Qatar, Shaikh ‘Abdullāh bin Jāsim (1913-1949) and Shaikh ‘Alī bin ‘Abdullāh (1949-1960) also appear in the table. In addition, a section of 'Notes' is included that gives 1907 as the year of compilation, as well as other details concerning the arrangement of the table, including: the omission of all females; the completeness of the table; sons are arranged in order of seniority from left to right; dates of birth are approximate only; and when the fact or date of death is not mentioned the person was probably alive in 1906. There are also details given concerning the marriage of Shaikh Jāsim's daughter to Nāsir-bin-Mubārak [Nāṣir bin Mubārak], a Bahrain refugee, in 1880, and the Shaikh's own account of the lineage of his grandfather, Thānī bin Muḥammad, and the origins of the family.
