The present commentary is a shorter version of al-Astarābādī's Sharḥ al-akbar on the same text, and is also known as al-Sharḥ al-mutawassiṭ.; Colophon: "waqaʻa al-farāgh min taḥrīr[ih] waqt al-zawāl al-shams [sic] fī yawm al-tālith fī shahr rajab al-murajjab sanat 978."; Very neat naskhi in the first half of the text. Abundant notes on fly-leaves and in the margins. Fine leather binding, though badly damaged at the spine, flap lost.
