Folio, ink, colours and gold on paper, Turkish text in naskh script, with painting (on verso), detached from codex T 419, Life of the Prophet (Siyer-i Nebi) composed 1388 by Mustafa ibn Yusuf ibn `Umar al-Mevlevi al-Erzerumi al-Darir (the blind), volume 4 of a 6-volume commission ordered for Ottoman Sultan Murad III (r. 1574-1595) and presented to Sultan Mehmet III (r. 1595-1603) in August 1595, overseen by Silahdar Hasan Aga, text copied by Mustafa ibn Vali (colophon, T 419 fol. 490r), Istanbul, Turkey, dated 1003H, 1594-1595.
