Anthology (majmū`) of poetry, written out by Jevrī (Cevri İbrahim Çelebi, d. 1654). Made in Ottoman Istanbul, this slim volume holds a selection of Turkish poems by different modern writers. The final verses are in Persian though, written by the poet Ḥāfeẓ Shīrāzī (d. 1390). Signing under his pen-name Jevrī, the calligrapher included his own poetry. Codex in safina format, ink, colours and gold on gold-dusted paper, leather bookbinding, 75 folios, Turkish and Persian text in nasta`liq script, with illuminated heading and corners, anthology (majmū`) of Turkish and Persian poetry, by Yaḥyā (d. 1575), Riyāḍī (d. 1644), Naf’ī of Erzerum (d. 1634), Fā’iḍī, Ḥālatī (d. 1631), Nādiri (d. 1626), Veysī (d. 1627), `Aṭā’ī (d. 1634), Fuḍūlī (Mehmed ibn Süleyman Fuzuli, 1480-1556), Rūḥī (d. 1605), Kātib Jevrī (also the calligrapher of this manuscript), and Ḥāfeẓ, copied by Jevrī (colophon signed, fol. 73r), penname of Ibrāhīm Chelebī (Cevri İbrahim Çelebi, d. 1654), Istanbul, Turkey, dated 14 Dhu’l-Qa`da 1041H, 2 June 1632.
