Codex, ink, colours and gold on paper, modern binding, 8 folios, Arabic text in muhaqqaq script and interlinear Persian translation in naskh script, with illuminated double page (chahar-lawh, fols. 1v-2r), six sura headings (fols. 3r, 4v, 5r, 6r, 7v, 8r) and marginal markers throughout, non-sequential folios from a Qur’an (Sura 18:107-19:10, S14:50-15:9, S41:50-54, S42:1-4, S17:109-111, S18:1-6, S15:96-16:7, S77:34-78:8, S78:38-79:17), possibly illuminated by Ottoman court artist Baba Nakkaş, unsigned, Edirne, Turkey, dated (in the original codex, Istanbul Türk ve Islam Eserleri Müzesi no.30) 862H, 1457-1458. Another four folios are in Lisbon, Gulbenkian Museum M20A&B and M27A&B.
