Codex, ink, colours and gold on paper, with leather bookbinding, 19 folios, Arabic and Persian text in thuluth and naskh scripts, with illuminated title heading (sarlawh, fol. 1v) and colophon (fol. 19r), One Hundred Sayings (Ṣad Kalima) attributed to `Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib (Imām `Alī, d. 661), with direct quotations in Arabic (compiled by al-Jāḥiẓ (d. 869), under the title Maṭlub kull ṭālib min kalām Amīr al-Mu’minīn `Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib), followed by paraphrasing verses in Persian (composed by Rashīd al-Dīn Vaṭvāṭ, d. 1183), copied by Zayn al-`Abidīn ibn Muḥammad al-Kātib, Iran, c. 1460-1500.
