Written in medium small naskh in black ink (fading to brown), with use of red. Light cream paper with laid and chain lines visible. Inscriptions, including verses of poetry on fol. 1a (worm-eaten). Two spine labels, with respectively the title and the number "365" in Arabic and Western numerals.Copied by Muḥammad Ibn Aḥmad al-MQhī on 10 Jumādá al-Awwal 894 (colophon, fol. 68a).Incipit: يقول العبد المفتقر الى مولاه ... محمد بن طلحة عفا الله عنه الحمد لله حامى حوزة بلاده بملوك اجتباهم لحراسة عباده ... وبعد فان قلم القدرة اذا جري فى القدم بتاييد الله واسعادهExplicit: فيستطيل مشقه الالم و من [---] مصاده الاهال فسوف نزل القدم تم بحمد الله وعونه وحسن توفيقه - Brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers, fore-edge flap and envelope flap. Upper and lower covers have a large elaborate blind-tooled border, with a central circular blind tooled pattern surrounded by petals. The envelope flap has a similar border with a smaller square pattern on its point. Embossed leather doublure. Fore-edge and spine repaired. - A collection of discourses arranged in four divisions: (1) On moral and good conduct; (2) on politics; (3) on canon law and religion; (4) miscellanea. This work is dedicated to al-Malik al-Saʻīd Najm al-Dīn Ghāzī ibn Urtuq (r. 637-658/1239-1260).
