On the margins of fol. 175b: collation statement dated Yawm al-Ithnayn 27 Jumādá II 911 [1505] ; date of completion of the commentary of the Alfīyah by Burhān al-Dīn Ibrāhīm ibn Mūsá al-Abnāsī, 13 Shawwāl 765 [1364].Incipit: الحمد لله رب العالمين وصلواته ... اما بعد فهذا شرح مختصر على الفية ابن مالك مهذب المقاصد واضح المسالكExplicit: يوصف به المفرد والمثنى والمجموع و قد جأ الاخبار به عن المفرد كقولهم محمد ... خيرة الله من خلقه وخيرة الله ايضا بالتسكين قال المولف ... قد اتينا على ما اردنا جمعه من الشرح والاعراب واستوفينا ما وعدنا به فى اول الكتاب فجأ شرحا مكمل المقاصد ... فهو حسبى ونعم الوكيل والحمد لله رب العالمين - Red leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers, fore-edge flap and envelope flap. Both covers have a blind stamped mandorla with two pendants on the vertical axis. The mandorla and pendants are outlined in gold. Blind tooled and gold painted outre frame with fillets and a running pattern. The envelope flap has a similar outer frame with a small blind stamped medallion outlined in gold on its point. Brown leather doublure. Spine and edges repaired. - Commentary on the Alfīyah fī al-naḥw by Jamāl al-Dīn Muḥammad ibn ʻAbd Allāh ibn Mālik (d. 672/1274), a work in verses on grammar. The text proper starts on fol. 10b, and is preceded on the first 9 fol. by several short excerpts, inscriptions and a table of contents. Continuous ḥāshiyah on the margins, apparently autograph by Kamāl al-Dīn Maḥmūd ibn Ṣāliḥ al-Fūmani(?) al-Makkī, d. Yawm al-Ithnayn 9 or 8 Jumādá II 915 [Sept. 1509] (see biographical note on fol. 6b-7a).
