Illuminated headpiece (ʻunwān) on fol. 1b. The first two pages of the text have a gilt and black ink border framing the text (fol. 1b-2a). Light cream paper with laid and chain lines visible. Catchword on the verso of each leaf. A few marginal notes by other hands (one dated 13 Rabīʻ al-Awwal 1327? [1909] on fol. 25a). On fol. 1a: Inscriptions; note on the author from al-Ṭabaqāt al-ṣughrá by al-Suyūṭī (d. 1505); ownership statement in the name of Aḥmad Najīb. Inscription (concerning price?) on the pastedown of the lower cover. Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "ʻAqāʼid 38". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥāʼ 275".Incipit: الحمد لله العلي شانه الجليّ برهانه القويّ سلطانه ...
