The date of copying is given as 1061 [1650/1], but probably this was added by a later hand, for the MS likely goes back to an earlier date.Collation: Paper ; fol. 94 ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.Layout: 17 lines per page.Description: Rubricated in light and dark ink ; vowel signs ; MS in good condition, some repairs. Only a fragment of the first folio remains.Origin: According to colophon copy completed 1061 (fol. 94a).Incipit: واسلك في تراجمهم طريق من تقدمني من مؤرخي الممالك ثم اذکر ملوك مصر من اول السلاطين الايوبية ...Ending: واستمر جلوسه بالقصر الى يوم الخميس وتم امره واعطى وامر ونهى واستمر على ذلك انتهى سنة 1061 - Later quarter-bound type III (without flap) binding in brown leather and paper. Multi-colored endbands. - A history of Egypt under the caliphs, with special reference to the Fāṭimids. The account commences with Muḥammad and ends with the year 857 [1453]. Evidently this work is an abridgment of the authorʼs larger work entitled al-Nujūm al-zāhirah fī mulūk Miṣr wa-al-Qāhirah.
