Traces of a leather spine. - Treatise regarding the teaching of the Qurʾān, mainly a collection of ḥadīths, in seven maqāṣid and a khātimah (see beginning of text, fol. 1a). The preamble (fol. (i)b) explains the occasion for the composition of this treatise: a letter received by the author in Jumādá II 957 [June-July 1550] relating a discussion on the matter. Maqṣad 7 gives in full the questions and answers of this discussion.
