Red teardrop textstops. Light cream paper, glossy, with laid and chain lines visible. Marginal annotations. Several inscriptions, including short excerpts, on fol. 1a.Ijāzah dated Rabīʻ II 9-3 on fol. 58a-b. Ijāzah signed Muḥammad ibn Ramaḍān al-Ḥanafī, dated Madrasah al-... (in Damascus added by another hand on the margin), Dhū al-Qaʻdah 879 on fol. 59a.Copy completed on 13 Rajab 872 [Feb. 7, 1468] by Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad al-Zuhayrī al-Ḥanafī (colophon, fol. 57b).Incipit: قال الشيخ العلامة حافظ الدين ابو البركات عبد الله بن احمد بن محمود النسفى رحمه الله الحمد لله الذي هدانا الى الصراط المستقيم والصلوة على من اختصّ بالخلق العظيم وعلى اله الذين قاموا بنصرة الدين القويم اعلم انّ اصول الشرع ثلاثة الكتاب والسنّة واجماع الامة والاصل الرابع القياسExplicit: وحرمة تحتمل السقوط لكنها لم تسقط بعدد الكرة واحتملت الرخصة ايضا ... ولهذا اذا اصبر في هذين القسمين حتى قتل صار شهيدًا - Paper with gold arabesques on a red(?) ground pasted on paper pasteboards for upper and lower cover and envelope flap. Red leather spine and fore-edge flap. Yellow paper pastedown. Leather doublure visible on the edges and on the fore-edge flap. Spine damaged. Disbound. - Treatise on Ḥanafī uṣūl al-fiqh.
