Notlar The collection includes letters to John Ingram, sketches of the lives of Italian Renaissance artists of the Ferrarese School by writer and art historian Girolamo Baruffaldi with notes by Ingram, notes on art and travel, and other pieces collected by Ingram. Also featured are early Greek and other inscriptions collected by John Godfrey, regional maps and plans of various temples, Arabic manuscripts, and other material relating to Ingram and Godfrey. Additionally, the collection contains a later edition (1597) of Giambattista Cinzio Giraldi's book on the Duke of Ferrara (COMMENTARIO DELLE COSE DI FERRARA . . . ), interleaved with manuscript annotations by John and Frances Ingram, accompanied by a notebook they kept as they pursued their research interest in the Renaissance city of Ferrara, as well as in travel, private libraries and book collecting, and the poet Torquarto Tasso.
