Worm-eaten.Collation: Paper, fol. i, 78 ; i (flyleaf -- European paper with watermark ; fol. 1 in the modern foliation in pencil) + 1-7¹⁰ 8¹⁰ (-2, after fol. 79 in the modern foliation in pencil) + ii (same paper as the first flyleaf) ; the quires are numbered using Arabic numerals (see fol. 12a).Copied during the months of the year 840(?; according to Hitti) by Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Qaṣṣāṣī(?) al-Shāfiʻī (colophon, fol. 79a in the modern foliation).Incipit: الحمد لله البديع الرفيع الذى خفقنا بصنعه واولانا جميل الصنيع ... وبعد فهذه نبذه نخترقها من بحر الادب المنطوى عليه شرح للشيخ - Anonymous abridgment of the Sharḥ al-Badīʻīyah, a commentary on Ibn Ḥijjah al-Ḥamawī's poem in praise of the Prophet Muḥammad, selected from his Thamarāt al-awrāq, or al-Thamarāt al-Ḥamawīyah. At the end of the text, list ṣūfī shaykhs written by Niqūlā Īblā(?) Mālṭī, with his seal.
