The text is framed within a gold, black and blue border throughout.Illuminated headpiece (ʻunwān) in gold, blue, red on fol. 4b, with inscription "Kitāb Sharḥ Ḥikmat al-ʻayn" in red. Light cream paper with laid and chain lines visible. Ḥāshiyah on the margin apparently by the same hand as the main text. Fol. 74-79 blank, except for frame on fol. 74-76 (the ink of the frame has burnt the paper). Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals (fol. 1-2 are blank endleaves). Title on the lower edge of the text block, reading "Ḥikmat al-ʻayn". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "al-Ḥikmah 12". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥāʼ 551".Incipit: اما بعد حمد الله فاطر ذوات العقول النوريةEnd as extant: \\ حركات نصف الجسم يكفى ح ازيد بل يكفى الازيد - Limp binding made of brown leather. Both covers have a central gold stamped mandorla, with brown leather apparent, with two pendants on the vertical axis. Rebacked. - Elegant copy of a commentary on Ḥikmat al-ʻayn by Najm al-Dīn al-Kātibī (d. 675/1276?).
