Commented text overlined in red. Topics written in the margin in red. Few marginal notes. Illuminated headpiece (ʻunwān) in blue and gold (fol. 2b). The first two pages of the text are framed in a gold and black ink frame (fol. 2b-3a). On fol. 1a-b: Inscriptions in Arabic and Turkish. Between fol. 30 and 31 and between fol. 71 and 72: Short text in Arabic on a slip of paper. Foliation in pencil using Western numerals. Title written on the lower edge of the text block. Inscription in Arabic on a modern label pasted on the upper cover: "al-ʻulūm al-[...] 49". Inscription in Arabic on a modern label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥāʼ 682".Copied by ʻAlī ibn Nūr Allāh at the end of Shawwāl 994 (colophon, fol. 238a).Incipit: الحمد لله الذي جعلني من علماء البيان و المعانىExplicit: وبالغت فى رده(؟) بالطايف لانّ كلستان مواضع الفرح غفر الله تاعلى له ولي وسائر المسلمين تم شرح الكلستان في آخر ربيع الآخر سنة سبع وخمسين وتسع مائه فى بلدة اماسيّة حميت عن البلية تم الكتاب - Modern dark green cloth binding. - Arabic commentary on the Gulistān of Saʻdī, completed at the end of Rabī al-Ākhir 957 (see end of text, fol. 237b). In the introduction, the author states that he composed this work for the sultan Muṣtafá ibn Sulaymān (d. 960/1553).
